Can I add set plays to a session?
No. Sessions are built only from drills. Set plays and patterns of play have their own library and are used, for example, in the game plan.
A session arranges drills from your library into an opening, main and closing part, with the duration of each block, its objectives and the equipment you need. You then assign it to the microcycle and link it to the training day, so what you planned and what you trained stay the same thing.

Many coaches prepare a session by copying drills into a document: times are added up by hand, equipment is noted somewhere else and, by training time, nobody remembers what each block was meant to achieve.
In NeoTactIQ the session is built from the drills you already designed on the tactical board. Each drill brings its classification, timing and equipment, and the session gathers them in one record you can reuse, print or share.
The session is split into an opening part, a main part and a closing part. In each one you place drills in the order they will be worked on, and NeoTactIQ adds up the duration of every block and of the whole session.
Drills come from your library: your own, those shared by other coaches in the club and those you copy from the Community. Only finished drills can be used; a draft cannot go into a session until you complete it.
Besides the tactical objectives of each drill, the session records its own conditioning, technical-tactical, cognitive and social-emotional objectives. That way the purpose of the whole training session is written down, not just that of each exercise.
You can also add the expected number of players, notes for the coaching staff and the status of the session, so you can tell what is ready from what is still being prepared.
Each drill works out its equipment from what you placed on the tactical board: cones, poles, goals, hurdles, bibs. The session adds up the equipment of all its drills and gives you the overall list, to which you can add anything missing.
The preview lets you go through the drills one by one in a carousel before training, and the PDF gives the rest of the staff the full session on paper or on their phone.
The session adds up the equipment its drills need on its own.
In Methodology you assign the week’s sessions to each microcycle, alongside its contents. When you create the training event, you link the session and the record for that day already carries its drills, timing and equipment.
A session that works can be duplicated to adapt it to another age group, or shared with the Community, where the NeoTactIQ team reviews it before it is published.
