Every team competition, configured only once

A league, a cup and a short tournament can all sit inside the same season with different rules. In NeoTactIQ you define each competition once — type, format, modality and rules — and linked matches inherit that framework: squad size, starters, periods, extra time or penalties where relevant.

When every competition follows different rules

You might play a 7-a-side league with one squad-size limit and then enter a weekend tournament with shorter periods and direct penalties.

The problem starts when those rules live in notes, separate documents or the coaching staff's memory. Every new match means checking which conditions belong to that competition and which do not.

NeoTactIQ keeps the rules where they belong: inside the competition itself. Each match then starts from a framework that already exists instead of being rebuilt from zero.

Type, format and modality of each competition

Each competition has a type — League, Cup, Tournament or Friendly — and a format: home and away, single leg, knockout, or group stage plus knockout. You also store its name, age group and division.

The modality can be 11-a-side, 8-a-side or 7-a-side, so the team always works with the number of players that competition requires.

The view shows all of the team’s competitions together, such as preseason friendlies, a knockout cup and a 38-round league, each with its own configuration.

The rules the match squad works with

In the competition rules you set the total number of rounds, the maximum squad size and number of starters, the number of periods and minutes per period, and whether there is extra time or penalties.

Those limits do not stay on a settings screen: the match squad uses them to keep count while you pick players, for example 18 of 18 called up and 11 of 11 starters. You never go over the limit or fall short on matchday.

Configure each competition once — modality, squad size, periods, extra time and penalties — and NeoTactIQ applies those rules to all of its matches.

From competition to match: the rules continue through the workflow

When a match belongs to a competition, it automatically inherits its rules. When you prepare the game you do not enter the modality, maximum squad size or period structure again.

The workflow continues afterwards. Recorded matches feed the team's statistics, which you can review by competition.

Two competitions, two rule sets, one structure

Imagine your team plays a federated league throughout the season and also enters a weekend tournament.

The league is configured as 7-a-side with its own maximum squad size, number of starters and period structure. The tournament has a different setup: group stage plus knockout, shorter periods, no extra time and penalties.

You do not need to force both competitions into one generic template or remember what changes every weekend. Each competition keeps its own configuration, and linked matches inherit that context.

Frequently asked questions

Which competition types and formats can I configure?

Types: League, Cup, Tournament and Friendly. Formats: home and away, single leg, knockout, and group stage plus knockout.

Which football modalities are available?

11-a-side, 8-a-side and 7-a-side.

Do I need to re-enter the rules for every match?

No. When a match is linked to a competition, it automatically inherits its rules, and the match squad keeps count of players called up and starters against those limits.

Can I review statistics by competition?

Yes. The team's match statistics include a breakdown by competition based on recorded games.

Configure the framework once and keep every match inside it

Competition rules should belong to the competition, not to the memory of whoever prepares the next game. Set up each league, cup, tournament or friendly with its own framework and let linked matches inherit that information.
